Terms of service

Last updated 2026-10-12 · [REVIEW] confirm the effective date and the legal entity before publishing.

The service

Mp3toText.com converts audio recordings into written text using an external speech-to-text model. The output is a machine-generated draft. It may contain errors, particularly for names, numbers, accents and noisy recordings. You are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

Your account

  • You must provide an accurate email address and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account, including minutes consumed.
  • Accounts are personal. [REVIEW] Decide whether sharing credentials or reselling access is permitted, and state it here.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload material you have no right to process, and not to use the service to:

  • transcribe recordings made unlawfully or without the required consent;
  • process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction;
  • attempt to bypass quotas, rate limits, or authentication;
  • probe, overload or disrupt the service or its providers.

Where the law requires consent from participants in a recording, obtaining it is your responsibility.

Plans, minutes and billing

  • Each plan includes a monthly allowance of transcription minutes.
  • Allowances reset monthly and unused minutes do not roll over.
  • Minutes are charged for audio that was actually transcribed; failed runs are released.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal and access continues until the paid period ends.
  • [REVIEW] Confirm your refund policy, tax handling and renewal notice wording with your merchant of record before publishing.

Availability and limits

File size, duration and format limits are enforced by the service and shown before you upload. The service depends on third-party infrastructure and may be unavailable occasionally; we do not promise uninterrupted availability. [REVIEW] Decide whether to offer a service-level commitment, and at what level.

Liability

[REVIEW] Insert the limitation-of-liability wording your jurisdiction requires, including any cap on damages and exclusions of consequential loss. The service is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. [REVIEW] Add the notice period you commit to for changes affecting paid plans.
